Established in 2008
Since 2008, UHI CommunityCare Clinic has provided free primary health care to low-income, uninsured residents of South Florida.
Located in Miami Gardens, it is a nonprofit, volunteer based clinic with the sole purpose to help those in need. UHI offers a wide range of services from primary care to various specialties, in addition to labs, and other diagnostic services. The clinic aims to help people in need in the most efficient way since the majority of the patients at are hardworking people without any public healthcare or medical insurances. Their income excludes them from receiving government assistance, yet prohibits them from affording private healthcare or insurance.
Without the help of the UHI CommunityCare Clinic, these uninsured residents would turn to emergency rooms for non-emergent care, at a great cost to themselves and the healthcare system. For clarity, however, UHI is not an urgent care center, and is currently unable to provide emergency services. We hope to expand in the future to provide our patients with all that they need.
